Madeira offers a broad selection of options for embroidering into schoolwear, workwear, athletics, fashion, or promotional goods thanks to its more than 100 years of experience producing high-quality embroidery thread.
CLASSIC and POLYNEON are complemented by the extended thread range which includes metallic, wool mix and matt effect options. For more specialist applications, we have conductive, reflective, and fire-resistant threads. Additionally, we provide a range of accessories, such as magnetic frames, 3D foam, cut and tear away backing fabrics, and an in-house cutting service.
With the increasing demand for sustainable products we launched the ‘Madeira Green’ label which features two sustainable thread options:
1. POLYNEON Green, premium quality machine embroidery thread made from 100% recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic bottles. With the same features as standard POLYNEON, it’s shiny, robust, and available in 108 carefully chosen colours from the well-known POLYENON shade range.
2. SENSA Green, the only coloured embroidery thread on the market made from 100% biodegradable lyocell fibres. Lyocell fibre is made of cellulose, a natural material derived from trees grown in sustainably managed forests. Sensa is beautifully soft with a unique silk, matt finish.
